Uniforms of the Vladivostok Fortress Police and the Russkiy Island Police, 1920-22

Order of the Far East Government's Military and Naval Affairs Administration, 24 July 1920, Vladivostok Fortress.

I hereby announce that the uniform established for military personnel by the Military and Naval Affairs Administration Order No. 23 of 29 June of this year is also mandatory for the Vladivostok Fortress and Russkiy Island police, with the following differences:

1) instead of braid based on the arm of service, narrow raspberry braid on the tunic, blouse and trousers;

2) on the left sleeve of the tunic, blouse and greatcoat, a blue shield measuring 2 by 2 vershka with white initials: "В.К.М." and "М.Р.О." and the duty number of the policeman. The shield is sewn midway between the shoulder and elbow;

3) sleeve insignia has white braid, as for non-combatants.

The Soviet of the Amur Zemsky Duma authorised the city administration to take from the warehouse the broadcloth confiscated from the Czechoslovak Central Commission in order to uniform of the reserve fortress police. The amount due for the goods taken must be paid by the city to the government or the Central Commission at the end of the trial.

Uniforms of the Vladivostok Fortress Police and the Russkiy Island Police:
1 – senior policeman of the highest rank; 2 – senior policeman mid rank;
3 – senior policeman of junior rank; 4 – junior policeman

The white sleeve braid is shown in accordance with the insignia established for NCOs of the Imperial Russian Army.
